Kazakh PM to attend meeting of heads of SCO governments

On Oct. 14, Beijing hosted a regular meeting of the Council of heads of government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states, which will be attended by the Kazakh delegation headed by Prime Minister Karim Masimov, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Yerzhan Ashykbayev said at a briefing in Astana.

"During the meeting, heads of government will consider the perspectives and measures for deepening economic and humanitarian cooperation between the SCO member states on the background of the multiplication of global and regional challenges, in particular the international financial crisis, as well as the participants will discuss the role of the Business Council and SCO Interbank Association in implementing the Action Plan on Implementation of the SCO multilateral trade and economic cooperation program," said Ashykbayev.

He said, the participants will also consider the organization's budget for 2010 and other issues related to financial and organizational activities of the SCO permanent bodies.
