Azerbaijan, Baku, Oct. 29 / Trend , A.Huseynbala/

An Azerbaijani opposition party's leadership will visit Belgium.

"We will visit the capital of Belgium, Brussels in December upon the invitation of the European Parliament," the Press Secretary of the Azerbaijan National Independence Party (ANIP), Ali Orujov told Trend on Oct. 29.

ANIP, founded in 1992, is the first officially registered political party in Azerbaijan. Etibar Mammadov was the founder and chairman of the party until 2004. Some members of the ANIP left the party due to the discontent aroused during Ali Aliyev's chairmanship.

At present, Mammadov is the deputy chairman of the International Democratic Society.

The ANIP leadership will make a speech with a package of proposals on different fields during the hearings on Azerbaijan at the European Parliament.

Orujov said during the visit, the officials of the party will join the hearings on Azerbaijan at the European Parliament and meet with the parliamentarians.
