Slovenia supports Kazakhstan's idea to hold OSCE summit in 2010, President of Slovenia Danilo Turk said during the negotiations with the head of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
"We agree, that it's necessary to hold the summit during the presidency of Kazakhstan in OSCE," Turk said.
Previous OSCE summit was held in Istanbul in 1999. The Slovenian president also noted that his country looks forward to Kazakhstan's conception about their presidency in OSCE next year.
"We're very interested to hear your vision of the EU- Kazakhstan cooperation, and we'd like to familiarize with ideas of your foreign minister," he added.
Initiative of holding OSCE summit in Astana has been supported by a number of European countries, including President of France Nicolas Sarkozy and chairman of PA OSCE Joao Soares.
