Quarantine declared in Tbilisi secondary school

Georgia, Tbilisi, Nov. 16 / Trend N.Kirtzkhalia /

A two-day quarantine was declared in Public School No. 162 in Tbilisi. The administration reached the decision after two girls were diagnosed with the A/H1N1 virus.

The girls are said to have a mild form of the flu and are expected to recover soon, doctors say.

Regardless parents demand disinfection at the school.

However, the Georgian National Center of Disease Control said disinfection is unnecessary, and wet cleaning is sufficient for the classrooms.

The school administration decided to declare quarantine. Classes will resume Wednesday.
