Saakashvili to open new embassy in Kiev

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili will visit Ukraine tomorrow on a two-day visit to attend the opening ceremony of a new Georgian embassy in Kiev.

A building in central Kiev was given to the Georgian government for the new embassy, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said at a briefing this morning.

Saakashvili will meet Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko and participate in a political talk show on the national television channel "Ukrayna" to discuss regional issues, the political situation in Georgia, the conflict regions and Georgian-Ukrainian relations.

Ukrainian experts and public representatives will take part in the talk show. The audience will ask the Georgian president questions.
