Nearly 32,000 candidates will attend the municipal elections in Azerbaijan.
"31,861 candidates have been registered for municipal elections," the official website of the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan said.
Municipal elections in Azerbaijan will be held on December 23. During these elections, 15,682 members will be elected for 1,718 municipalities. Formerly elections were held twice - in 1999 and 2004.
16,200 approved candidates for municipal elections have higher education. Of the candidates, 6,222 are women. In total, 35,760 candidates nominated for municipal elections.
