Georgia, Tbilisi, Dec. 10 / Trend N. Kirtskhalia /
Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili responded Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's yesterday statement on possible restoration of air communication between two countries, as well as abolition of visa regime and restoration of relations. He welcomes these initiatives, Georgian President's press-speaker Manana Manjgaladze said.
Russian production is not blocked on Georgian markets up to now. It will not face embargo, Saakashvili's press-speaker said.
"Moreover, Russian citizens enter Georgia via simplified regime, let alone people cooperating with Russian special services," Manjgaladze said.
He said that Saakashvili's position is that Georgia is ready to open the checkpoint Upper Lars now and restore air communication with Russia.
