An Azerbaijani opposition party will picket in front of the U.S. Embassy in Baku.
"We plan to hold a picket as a sign of protest against the decision of the U.S. Congress to allocate assistance to the Armenian community of Nagorno-Karabakh Dec. 22," the Modern Musavat Party's Press Service told Trend today.
The party appealed to the Baku Executive Power today for a permit to picket.
Party Chairman Hafiz Hajiyev headed the Azerbalig concern in 1992-1993. In 2000 he founded Modern Musavat. The party was registered in 2002 and calls itself the "constructive opposition."
