PACE Monitoring Committee discusses upcoming visit of co-rapporteurs to Azerbaijan

The PACE Monitoring Committee discussed the upcoming visit of the co-rapporteurs to Azerbaijan.

"The meeting held on Dec. 17 confirmed the Monitoring Committee co-rapporteurs' visit to Azerbaijan in February next year," the Vice President of PACE, head of the parliamentary delegation of Azerbaijan Samad Seyidov told Trend in a telephone conversation.

According to Seyidov, the agenda of the winter session of PACE is already known. "Due to the upcoming visit of the co-reporters in February, the agenda of the winter session of the Assembly does not include anything regarding Azerbaijan. Despite this, Azerbaijani MPs will actively participate in discussions on all issues," said the MP.

At the meeting of the Monitoring Committee, held in November, a parliamentarian from Malta Joseph Debono Sin appointed as the new co-rapporteur on Azerbaijan. Another is the co-rapporteur Andreas Herkel. Preceded by Sin Eugene Zhivkov resigned from his post in June.
