The OSCE Permanent Council recognized the presidential elections in Abkhazia illegitimate. The international community does not recognize the election results, the Council said.
Russia tried to protect the elections in Abkhazia, whilst nobody supported Russia, Georgian Ambassador to the OSCE Paata Gaprindashvili stated.
"Russia is violating international law, as well as the fact that the conflict between Georgia and Russia continues and the international community must be involved in the process of settlement," Gaprindashvili said
