There is a need to open a diplomatic club in Astana, Astana diplomatic corpus doyen, Azerbaijani Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary ambassador to Kazakhstan Latif Gandilov told the Kazakh president Nursultan Nazarbayev in the Ak Orda today.
"Despite hard periods connected with financial crisis, the process of relocation of embassies to Astana is at the stage of completion. This move has brought a new spirit and new trends to the cultural feature of the capital", Latif Gandilov said.
Azerbaijani diplomat stressed that a lot of activities organized by the diplomatic missions were held in Astana during a year. These events included concerts, photo exhibitions and musical evenings.
"Thus, Astana has become a real diplomatic center of Kazakhstan", he said.
