The Georgian Public Prosecutor Office arrested two more people accused of negligence and incompetence while blasting the Memorial of Honor in Kutaisi. They were Georgian Blasting Industry Company directors Tengiz Darakhvelidze and Elguja Gadabadze, Deputy Prosecutor General David Sakvarelidze said at a press briefing
"They did not provide necessary standards and security guidelines set by the government. Fences were installed within a radius of 230 meters instead of 300 meters to provide security. Defensive trenches were not been dug," Sakverelidze said. "The case is under investigation."
Before, the law-enforcement agencies arrested Georgian Blasting Industry Company Technical Director Avtandil Darsavelidze.
The explosion of memorial Dec. 19 killed two people.
