The ringleader of an organized criminal group was arrested after accusations that he kidnapped a Chinese citizen in Azerbaijan, Interior Ministry officer Ehsan Zahidov told Trend .
Ghang Ye Bin is accused of kidnapping Chinese citizen Tsanq Venil.
Tsanq Venil and her husband disappeared after leaving a friend's house outside Baku. The next morning, the kidnappers phoned Venil's husband and said his wife had been kidnapped by Chinese citizens. They demanded $3,000 for her release.
Li Jen Vay, Zengo Van, Vanq Liyonq and Vanq Konqyonq were detained the same day.
The Department for Organized Crime has filed a criminal case according to Article 144.1 (Kidnapping) of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code.
