Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of condolence to President of Lebanon Michel Suleiman, the AzerTaj state news agency reported.
"I was deeply grieved upon hearing the news on the massive loss of your compatriots` lives caused by the passenger plane crash off Beirut.
On my own behalf and on behalf of the Azerbaijan people, I extend sympathies to You, families of the killed and all people of Lebanon," the letter reads.
Aliyev has sent a letter of condolence to Ethiopian leader Girma Wolde-Giorgis over the Ethiopian airlines`s jet crash off Beirut, which caused massive loss of lives.
President Aliyev expressed his deep sympathies to the head of Ethiopia, families and friends of the dead.
