The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said perpetrators in an armed incident at an Azerbaijani military unit will receive due punishment.
The commission created upon the ministry's order will investigate an armed incident in the Dashkesan region, Defense Spokesman Eldar Sabiroglu reported. Presently, attention is focused on finding and punishing the perpetrators.
Two soldiers shot dead four military servicemen and injured two at Azerbaijani Defense Ministry Military Unit No. N in the Dashkesen region Jan. 28 at 6:00 p.m.
The Military Prosecutor Office's Heinous Crimes Department launched a criminal case under Articles 120.2.1 (deliberate murder committed by a group of individuals, group of persons by prior conspiracy, an organized group or criminal association (criminal organization), 120.2.3 (deliberate murder of the victim or his relatives in connection with the implementation of this person performance or the performance of public debt) and 120.2.7 (deliberate murder of two or more persons), the Prosecutor Office told Trend .
Sabiroglu called on media not to yield to their emotions while covering materials in connection with the incident and not to mislead the public.
