The Museum of Miniature Books of Azerbaijan hosted an official ceremony of presenting forty miniature books of American artists.
The collection was previously presented at an international exhibition Bienales, which was held in December in Baku. These works were brought by American art historians Reese Horvitz and Robert Roysh. It was decided to present these books as a gift to the museum and its director Zarifa Salakhova.
The ceremony was attended by U.S. Charge d'Affaires in Azerbaijan, Donald Lu, and Azerbaijani MP Elmira Akhundova.
"Today's ceremony is a celebration of the Azerbaijani-American love of art and book, and we are pleased that these books have found their permanent home in this museum," said the Head of the Public Relations Office of the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan, Terry Davidson.
