Trial was completed over the lawsuit by the Azerbaijani Interior Minister Ramil Usubov against the editor-in-chief of Femida 007 newspaper Eyyub Kerimov.
Upon the verdict, Eyyub Kerimov was found guilty under article 147.2 of the Criminal Code and sentenced to correctional labor, deducting 16 percent of his monthly wages. Costs and expenses for trial will be paid by Karimov in amount of 220 manat.
Interior Minister Ramil Usubov filed a lawsuit against Eyyub Kerimov upon article 147.2 (slander, associated with the accusation of committing a serious or especially serious crime) of the Criminal Code. The ground for lawsuit was the article about the Interior Minister, published in the press by Eyyub Kerimov.
