Staff of the Commission on State Prizes in the sphere of sciences, culture and literature of Azerbaijani Republic has been approved by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's order, AzerTAj State Information Agency reported.
According to the President's order, Azerbaijani Prime Minister Artur Rasizade appointed the Commission's head.
Commission members:
- Elchin Efendiyev, Azerbaijani Republic's Deputy Prime Minister, People's writer;
- Mahmud Kerimov, President of Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences, member of Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences;
- Abulfaz Garayev, Azerbaijani Minister of Culture and Tourism;
-Misir Mardanov, Azerbaijani Education Minister;
- Abbas Alasgarov, Chairman of State Committee on City Planning and Architecture;
- Arif Mehdiyev, chairman of High Attestation Commission under Azerbaijani President, member of Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences;
- Ismail Sadigov, head of the department of science, culture, national education and social problems of the Cabinet of Ministers;
- Akif Alizade, Vice-President of Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences, member of Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences;
- Naila Velikhanli, Vice-President of Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences, member of Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences;
- Omar Eldarov, rector of Azerbaijani Art Academy, member of Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences, the Heydar Aliyev prize laureate, the USSR Laureate and Azerbaijan's State Prize Laureate;
- Abel Maharramov, rector of Baku State University, member of Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences;
- Ahliman Amiraslanov, rector of Azerbaijan State Medical University, member of Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences, the USSR's State Prize Laureate;
- Siyavush Kerimi, rector of the Azerbaijan National Conservatory, People's Artist;
- Isa Habibbeyli, rector of Nakhchivan State University, member of Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences;
- Agshin Alizade, secretary of Azerbaijani Composers' Union, People's Artist, Azerbaijan's State Prize laureate;
- Chingiz Abdullayev, secretary of the Writers' Union of Azerbaijan, People's writer;
- Togrul Narimanbeyov, People's painter, USSR and Azerbaijan's State Prizes laureate;
- Arif Melikov, correspondent member of Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences, People's Artist, winner of the prize named after Heydar Aliyev, Azerbaijan's State Prize laureate;
- Shafiga Mammadova, People's Artist, the USSR and Azerbaijan's State Prize laureate;
- Movlud Suleymanli, People's writer.
Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed to prepare sketches of diplomas and honorary badges to the state prizes winners together with the Commission on State Prizes in science, culture and literature and submit them to Azerbaijani President within two months. The Cabinet has also been instructed to solve issues related to the organization of the Commission's activity.
