Media: Turkmen president’s current visit of to UAE is new milestone in intergovernmental relations

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov's official visit to the United Arab Emirates will launch Feb. 9, the Turkmen government reported today

"The visit is intended to become a new milestone in the development of interstate cooperation which is taken the form of active and participatory dialogue," the government said

Berdimuhamedov's official visit to Abu-Dhabi in August 2007 and Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan's visit to Ashgabat in February 2008 gave impulse to interstate relations between the sides  

The sides' current meeting is a vivid evidence of the desire of our people to raise the traditional partnership to a qualitatively new level, giving it a business and constructive character considering the positive experience of the mutual cooperation

The legal bases of two countries have 16 international documents signed at the interstate, intergovernmental and interagency levels. According to the agreements, the sides held changes between the embassies, regulated air mail and foreign trade is increasing.     

Turkmenistan held an Investment Forum on the threshold of Berdimuhamedov's visit to Abu Dhabi.

The Dragon Oil Company and Mubadala Development Company Oil & Gas discussed with the Turkmen government their participation in new investment projects in the fuel and energy complex field
