Today at a meeting of the National Coordination Council for Euro-Atlantic Integration, was approved an annual national program (ANP) for 2010.
The meeting was chaired by State Minister for European Integration Giorgi Baramidze.
The national plan for 2010 reflects the ongoing activities in the field of democratic development, defense and security, as well as in the sectors of the economy, education, environmental protection, information security and others, he said to press conference.
According to Baramidze, at a meeting of the NATO-Georgia commission at the headquarters of NATO in January, the Georgian delegation presented the paper of one-year national program for initial consideration. "At the meeting, ANP was evaluated positively. However, these were comments and recommendations. Particularly these recommendations, as well as those which came from various state agencies of Georgia have been addressed and added to the initial version. The final version was approved today," said he.
According to Baramidze, as part of the NATO-Georgia commission in Brussels in March, the North Atlantic Council will meet, where it will present the approved version of the document.
Besides, the state strategy of Georgia regarding the occupied territories will be discussed in Brussels.
