Uzbek security services suppress drug trafficking

The Uzbek National Security Service's officers thwarted attempt to bring  21 kilograms of raw opium from Afghanistan to the country, the service reported.

The drug was detained in the Surkhandarya region, when the Afghan citizens tried to move it across the Amu Darya.

The service filed a criminal case into the case. The investigative activities are underway.
