Zaza Chelidze, executive director of Gruzstat, will go to the U.S. to participate in the 41st session of the UN Statistical Commission in Feb. 19.
Chelidze will inform his foreign counterparts about establishment of a new statistical service in Georgia and acquaint them with future plans and priorities, Gruzstat said.
Chelidse is scheduled to have top-level meetings at the UN Statistical Commission.
Chelidze will also participate in the workshop "New Trends in the dissemination of data and communications" and a forum "Is national statistical system effective".
Chelidze's visit to the U.S will end in Feb. 26.
