U.S President Barack Obama and Secretary Hillary Clinton also take a very active personal interest in the success of the OSCE Minsk Group efforts as part of our comprehensive approach to security in the region, U.S. Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs William Burns said.
"Working together with Russia and France as OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, we are engaged at the highest level in trying to find a stable and durable resolution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict," William Burns said speaking at the Azerbaijani Diplomatic Academy, the U.S embassy reported.
He said peace, stability and tolerance can only benefit all the people in the Caucasus region. "We also believe that the strengthening of democratic institutions, rule of law and respect for human rights will have a positive effect on the future of this country and the region, and we will continue to be supportive of efforts in this direction," he added.
