Georgian speaker explains president's decision not to take part in Ukrainian inauguration

Georgian Parliamentary Speaker David Bakradze explained why the country's President Mikheil Saakashvili's will not partake in the inauguration of Ukraine's new elected President Viktor Yanukovych. 

He said as a rule the inviting country sends out invitations, and guests defined their delegations.

"Foreign ministers, deputy prime ministers, prime ministers and parliamentary speakers are attending the inauguration from many countries. Presidents also participate, but as a rule this is the exception," Bakradze said.

The speaker and Vice Speaker Mikheil Machavariani will attend from Georgia.
