Prime Minister Artur Rasizade will head the Azerbaijani delegation at the inauguration of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, Azerbaijani Ambassador in Ukraine Talat Aliyev told Trend .
Rasizade will arrive in Kiev tomorrow to attend the presidential inauguration ceremony and will participate in all scheduled events, Aliyev said over the telephone.
Numerous foreign delegations are expected to participate at the inauguration of Viktor Yanukovych, which will be held Feb 25, MP from Regions Party Sergei Levochkin was quoted as saying by ITAR-TASS. The representation will be capacious but not very large, as Viktor Yanukovich decided that the inauguration will be lowly because of the difficult economic situation of the country, he said.
The presidents of Bulgaria, Turkey, Romania, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland and Latvia have confirmed their participation in the ceremony. Catherine Ashton, representative for the Foreign Affairs and Security Policy is expected to lead the EU delegation and James Jones, Barack Obama's adviser on national security, will head the US delegation.
Yanukovych will receive report of the armed forces after the ceremony in the Parliament. Then the reception will be held in the Ukrainian House. Parades and fireworks on this day are not scheduled.
