The Georgian Public Defender's Office does not believe it should interfere in the internal affairs of a private TV company. Public Defender George Tugushi made the comment after the Imedi TV station broadcast a fake news program saying Russia had stormed the country.
According to the Ombudsman, the TV company violated certain standards, and concerned individuals can appeal to the courts.
