Georgian association condemns Imedi

Georgia, Tbilisi, March 15 / Trend N.Kirtzkhalia /

The Georgian Psychologists and Psychotherapists Association appealed to the population after members of the public expressed outrage at a fake news report on Imedi TV claiming that the Russians had once again attacked the country. The association called the March 13 program a "requiem of Georgian hopes."

"We believe that such coverage is unacceptable and requires greater deliberation, professional consultations and a review of the population's interests," the association said in a statement.

The association believes that on the backdrop of the 2008 Augusr war with Russia and stressed Georgia-Russia relations, such broadcasts are unacceptable.
