Georgian opposition to meet in Tbilisi today

Georgia, Tbilisi, March 22 / Trend , N.Kirtskhalia /

A number of opposition parties will meet at 1:00 p.m. at the Tbilisi Marriott today upon the initiative of the Georgian Labor Party.

The Christian-Democrats, Alliance for Georgia and National Forum have refused to participate in the meeting, as former Prime Minister Zurab Noghaideli will attend.

Labor Party members believe recent events have changed the situation in Georgia and the country's liberation from the existing regime through peaceful means must be discussed. The meeting is taking place after the Georgian Imedi television station broadcast mock footage of the Russian military launching a new act of aggression against the country.
