Resumption of regular flights between Georgia and Russia will be possible only after the restoration of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The state does not interfere in the activity of a private company, in this case Airzena and it can carry out charter flights, especially if it meets the Georgian citizens' interests, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said at the traditional of Monday press briefing,.
"The flights, which Airzena provides, are negotiated by private companies. The state must be involved to talks to resume regular flights. Our countries have not restored diplomatic relations at this stage and there is no talk about the restoration of regular flights," Kalandadze said.
In accordance with the Transport Ministry's decision, Airzena performs a few charter flights Tbilisi-Moscow-Tbilisi, May 24, 26, 27, 29 and 31 and June 2, 3, 6, 9, 28 and 30, as well as July 1.
