The question of simplification of visa regime between Georgia and EU was discussed at the European Union's Eastern Partnership member-states' foreign ministers' first informal meeting in Sopot.
Georgian State Minister for European integration and Vice Prime Minister Giorgi Baramidze, who represented the country at the event, said the agreement will be signed in June.
Representatives of 27 EU countries and the Eastern Partnership member-countries meet in Sopot. The meeting also discussed the strengthening of the EU monitoring mission in Georgia.
"Development of "Eastern Partnership" has practical value for Georgia due to the design of simplified visa regime. In addition, it is important to agree an association implying a free trade agreement," Baramidze said.
