A delegation headed by Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Oktay Asadov will participate in the Conference of Chairmen of Parliaments of the CE countries, to be held in Cyprus, Limassol, June 10-12, the Azerbaijani Parliament spokesman Akif Nasirov told media.
He said that "Rights and duties of the opposition in the parliament", "National parliaments and international human rights: implementation of the principles against discrimination" will be dicussed at the European Conference of Chairmen of Parliaments.
The delegation includes chairman of the parliamentary committee on international relations and interparliamentary relations Samad Seyidov, head of the Azerbaijani Parliament administration Safa Mirzayev and others.
"During the visit, Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament will meet with heads of parliamentary delegations - participants of the event", Nasirov said.
The Azerbaijani Parliament administration head Safa Mirzoyev will participate in a regular meeting of First Secretaries of the CE parliaments within the conference June 12.
A report on the activities of the European Centre for Parliamentary Research and Documentation was delivered at the meeting. Views on priorities and programs, scheduled for the following years were exchanged.
