Two University of Jordan students received the Heydar Aliyev Scholarship earlier this week, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Jordan reported.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Jordan Elman Arasli attended the awards ceremony at the university. During the ceremony, he discussed former Azerbaijani President Heydar Aliyev's life and political heritage.
Arasli also stressed the exceptional contribution that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has made to Azerbaijani-Jordanian ties, and added that Jordanian King Abdullah Ibn Hussein has played an integral role in expanding cooperation between the two countries.
Arasli awarded the scholarship to second-year medical student Imad Dicke and second-year engineering student Dua Su'ud. The students expressed their gratitude to Aliyev and the Azerbaijani government.
University Rector H. Karaki also thanked Aliyev and underscored that the scholarships will serve to further enhance Azerbaijan-Jordan relations.
