A criminal case on rape in the mosque of Azerbaijani region Goychay was filed.
As a result of investigations conducted by Goychay region prosecutor's office, it was revealed that chairman of the religious community Asker Babayev raped a resident of the district in the mosque July 29, Azerbaijani Prosecutor's Office said.
A criminal case under Art. 150.1 (sexual assault) of the Criminal Code of the Azerbaijan Republic was filed.
Prosecutor's Office investigates the criminal case.
