Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of congratulation to Tuanku Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Mahmud Al-Muktafi Billah Shah, Supreme Head of Malaysia, on his country's national holiday - Independence Day, AzerTAj state news agency reported.
"On behalf of the Azerbaijani people and on my own behalf, I cordially congratulate you and your people on your country`s public holiday-Independence Day. I am sure that development of Azerbaijan-Malaysia relationship, expansion of our friendly and cooperative ties will further serve the interests of our peoples. I extend my best wishes to you and wish the friendly people of Malaysia peace and prosperity," the letter says.
