Georgian delegation to leave for The Hague

Georgia, Tbilisi, Sept. 6 / Trend N.Kirtzkhalia /

The Hague International Court is expected to consider a Georgian appeal against Russia on Sept. 13-17. A Georgian delegation will leave for The Hague tomorrow to participate in the process, Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said at a briefing today.

She expressed hope that the court will rule in favor of Georgia.

Kalandadze and Deputy Justice Minister Tina Burdzhaliani will participate in the process.

"The lawsuit is related to ethnic cleansing and we hope the court will take into account our arguments," Kalandadze said.

Georgia began a court action against Russia in the court after the war in August 2008.
