Head of the Azerbaijani President's Administration Ramiz Mehdiyev has cast his voice in the country's parliamentary elections, AzerTAj state news agency reported.

In a talk with journalists, Mehdiyev said the voting was taking place in a stable and calm manner.

He said international observers also made positive statements on the course of the election.

"I think the situation is very good. And I'm not the only one who thinks so as international observers, in particular the parliamentary representatives of the European Union have highly praised the elections."

Mehdiyev said: "We had a meeting with them yesterday, and they highly praised the fact there is stability in Azerbaijan and also praised high-level preparation for the elections. And today we actually have calm, normal elections."

"We await more qualitative results. Each parliamentary election marks new achievements in Azerbaijan, new people bring new ideas to the parliament. I hope this elections will mark the same," said the Presidential Administration chief.
