Unfortunately there are still double standards in approach to Khojaly tragedy - Leyla Aliyeva

Turkey`s leading daily newspaper Hurriyet has published an interview with vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva.

In her interview, Mrs. Aliyeva said "everybody who wants justice for Khojaly will listen to the voice of humanity".

"The world community has not created a concrete and working mechanism after the Khojaly tragedy. Unfortunately there are still double standards in approach to this tragedy."

Head of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation`s Russia office said: "Armenians brutally murdered 613 innocent people thinking the world will quickly forget this."

"Among those killed were 106 women and 63 children. Eight families were completely massacred," she added.

Mrs. Aliyeva said: "Today we have the state that we can rely on. In 2009 we launched "Justice for Khojaly" campaign to make this crime known to the world community. And we created www.justiceforkhojaly.org website to ensure successful continuation of the campaign. I would like to express our gratitude to the brotherly Turkish Republic and people of Turkey for supporting us."

"As part of the campaign we hold events in 30 countries across the worlds. Washington, Ankara, Brussels, Jakarta, Ottawa, Berlin, Abu-Dhabi, Paris and Sao-Paulo are just a few examples," said Mrs. Aliyeva.

The newspaper praised Mrs. Aliyeva`s role in creating "Justice for Khojaly" music video - featuring Azeri rap band Deyirman and Toni Blackman, a Cultural Ambassador traveling with the US Department of State - part of the Justice for Khojaly campaign.
