Azerbaijan, Baku, April 5 / Trend T. Hajiyev /

Deputy Executive Secretary of the Azerbaijani ruling party addressed opposition parties holding of a sanctioned rally.

"Every citizen has the right to assemble freely," deputy executive secretary of the ruling party, MP Siyavush Novruzov, told the official website of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party. People can carry out certain actions. But any action must be conducted within the law."

He said that the opposition rally, scheduled for April 16, must also abide by legal conduct. The executive power of Baku has designated an area for holding mass political rallies, Novruzov said.
"If anyone wants to share one's own thoughts with someone, there must not be any problems with the area," he said. That is, they are free to conduct the rally in designated places. Rallies held in developed countries must also abide by the law. At present, it is possible to hold discussions and share ideas broadly via the media and Internet. Despite this, if the opposition wants to hold a rally, it must comply with the law. If their actions overstep the law this time, these actions must be prevented."
