Some 35 transnational groups were rendered harmless as a result of operational measures undertaken by the Azerbaijani National Security Ministry against drug trafficking during 2010 and in the past period of 2011. Some 49 criminal cases were opened and 150 people were brought to justice. Some 1.590 tons of drugs was seized from illegal trafficking, the National Security Ministry said today.
