Adjara and Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic will begin close cooperation.

Adjaran governor Levan Varshalomidze and Azerbaijani Ambassador to Georgia Azer Huseyin discussed strengthening of relations between the Autonomous Republic of Adjara and Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

The meeting was also attended by Azerbaijani Consul General Huseyin Najafov.
As the Adjaran government told Trend, a delegation of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) will arrive in Batumi on Friday to discuss prospects for cooperation.

Mr Varshalomidze and Mr Huseyin also discussed mutual relations between the two countries.

"Adjara are bounded with close and friendly relations with a number of cities and regions of Azerbaijan and these relations should be deepened," he stressed.

As Adjaran government said, establishing economic and cultural relations will be discussed during a two-say visit of the NAR delegation.
