The Azerbaijani ruling New Azerbaijan Party has urged the opposition to submit their financial reports.
"The ruling party annually submits its reports," Deputy Executive Secretary of Siyavush Novruzov told media today. "Thus, we set an example to other political parties. Opposition parties must also submit reports relating to the sources of their financing."
He added that the party is always ready to negotiate issues related to Azerbaijan and the problems in the country.
"To be a political party does not mean hostility," he said. "A political party must submit alternative proposals to govern the state.
The opposition is waiting for tensions to be created in the country and them to come to power. This is an unconstructive position."
