The ministries of foreign affairs of Azerbaijan and Germany will hold next round of political consultations in Baku this year.
This agreement was reached during working visit of Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov to Germany, the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry told Trend on Wednesday.
During the visit Khalafov met with plenipotentiary representative of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany on Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia, ambassador at large Patricia Flor.
The sides discussed bilateral political and economic ties, including an exchange of views on cooperation in the energy sector. Development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union was also discussed.
Khalafov informed Flor about the Azerbaijani-Armenian Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the serious consequences of Armenian aggression and the status of negotiations on the settlement of the Karabakh problem.
