There will be 50 thousand observers at the parliamentary elections in Iran, which will be held in March 2, head of the Election Observation of CEC Iran Gulamali Hajizade said, the agency Mehr reported.

Some 3444 people registered as candidates for deputies of the ninth convocation.
In total, 5395 candidates were nominated.

According to Iranian media, the candidacies of 33 members of parliament of current convocation were not registered and their names were not included in the electoral lists.
