Topical issues of the Tajik-Azerbaijani bilateral relations were discussed at a recent meeting of First Deputy Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Mahmudjon Sobirov and Azerbaijani Ambassador Abbasali Hasanov, CA-News reports with reference to the Tajik Foreign Ministry on Friday.
"The Azerbaijani diplomat proposed to consider possible opening of direct flights between Dushanbe and Baku. To this end, it was decided to organize a meeting of the leadership of aviation authorities of both countries to discuss the issue," the Ministry said.
Issues of cooperation between the Ministries of Education and Culture, the preparation of Tajik experts in oil and gas industry, the exchange of artistic groups of the two countries were also discussed at the meeting.
"Sobirov expressed hope for enhancement of the investment activity of Azerbaijani businessmen in various sectors in Tajikistan and cooperation of the banking systems of the two states," the Foreign Ministry said.
