The Azerbaijani Parliament hosted a meeting on Monday between Israeli MPs Orit Zuaretz and Fania Kirshenbaum with members of the Azerbaijan-Israel parliamentary friendship group, the press service of the Parliament told Trend on Monday.
At the meeting, representative of Azerbaijan Yevda Abramov, noting the presence of a strategic partnership between the two countries, stressed the high level of ties in energy, agriculture and health.
Recalling that the trade turnover between the two countries reached $ 4 billion, the deputy noted that this figure will grow. Yevda Abramov said that Azerbaijan has created all conditions and at the state level, attention is paid to the Jews, and said that over the past five years two synagogues were built here.
Israeli MP Orit Zuaretz said that tolerance in Azerbaijan is at a high level. He stressed that Azerbaijan is a Muslim country, closely collaborating with Israel. Israeli MP stressed the importance of the further development of existing relations in agriculture, energy, etc.
The meeting participants expressed particular satisfaction with the level of development of cultural ties between the two countries.
