Azerbaijan ensured security at the Eurovision Song Contest at a high level, Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Social and Political Department Chief Ali Hasanov told journalists on Thursday.
"Azerbaijani government guaranteed security of all participants, who visited the country. All law enforcement agencies entered intensified scheduled. As a result, terror acts and attempts to violate the Eurovision Song Contest were prevented," Hasanov said.
Azerbaijan demonstrated the best example to host Eurovision Song Contest, he added.
The 57th Eurovision Song Contest was held in the Baku Crystal Hall near State Flag Square. The semi-finals were held on May 22 and May 24 and the final on May 26.
The logo for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest was 'Fire Flower', while the motto was Light your fire.
Azerbaijan won the right to host the prestigious European song contest after the victory of Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal (Ell / Nikki) at Eurovision 2011 in Dusseldorf, Germany last May.
