Kazakh Foreign Affairs Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov received on Friday Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking states (TurkPA) Ramil Hasanov, press service of the country's Foreign Ministry told Trend.
The sides discussed issues of cooperation within the Assembly. Kazykhanov noted the fruitfulness of the working meeting in the Majilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan on the preparation of the third plenary session of TurkPA to be held in Bishkek on June 14-15, and expressed confidence that the forthcoming meeting will make a significant contribution to the development of multilateral inter-parliamentary relations between the Turkic states.
The foreign minister stressed that Kazakhstan attaches great importance to the activities of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking states (Turkic Council), through which, according to the minister, the natural kinship of the Turkic countries were formed in the inter-state integration structure.
Kazykhanov briefed Hasanov on the implementation of the Action Plan for the development of multilateral cooperation and the current state of affairs in the Turkic council, which Kazakhstan currently chairs.
