The next meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan will be held in Ashgabat on October 4, 2012, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan Toyli Komekov said at a press conference on Wednesday.
The ambassador noted the high efficiency of the intergovernmental commissions, as well as a great prospect in the trade and economic relations between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.
Komekov also stressed that the two countries intend to expand the possibilities of bilateral cooperation.
According to the Ambassador, on September 26-27 Ashgabat will host the next meeting of the special working group of deputy foreign ministers of the Caspian countries on the legal status of the Caspian Sea.
In addition, a meeting of representatives of agencies engaged in fishing in the Caspian countries is being prepared. The meeting will discuss the progress made on implementation of decisions at the third summit of Caspian states, held on November 18, 2010 in Baku.
During this meeting, all the Caspian countries supported Turkmenistan's idea to develop an agreement on the conservation and sustainable use of biological resources of the Caspian Sea, Komekov said.
