President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received participants of the Baku meeting of the Council of Ministers of Internal Affairs of CIS member states.
The Azerbaijani leader said he was happy that the meeting of the CIS Council of Ministers of Internal Affairs took place in Baku.
The Head of State said regional security issues had always been high on the agenda during his meetings with heads of state of the CIS member countries.
President Ilham Aliyev highlighted Azerbaijan`s cooperation with Interpol, describing it as successful.
Azerbaijani Internal Affairs Minister Ramil Usubov said the meeting participants shared common views during discussions on the issues on the agenda.
He stressed the importance of mutual cooperation in fighting against transnational crime.
Russian Minister of Internal Affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev thanked the Azerbaijani leader for ensuring necessary conditions to organize the meeting in Baku.
He said the issues discussed and decisions to be made at the meeting would contribute to the CIS` countries joint fight against crime.
