President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today inaugurated a newly revamped 29km-long Yevlakh-Barda portion of the Yevlakh-Khojaly-Lachin highway.
The Head of State cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the road.
The Head of State viewed photos reflecting the facility`s technical indicators, as well as providing information on highways to be reconstructed in 2013.
According to transport minister Ziya Mammadov, Yevlakh-Khojaly-Lachin highway will ease traffic in the direction of Tartar, Aghjabadi, Barda and Aghdam.
The Minister told President Ilham Aliyev that the construction of Barda-Tartar section of the 18km-long Barda-Istisu highway was continuing.
